kasam-hajur-koOnce in a while you get to see some nice Nepali Movies, most of the times you will be served with cold dish in Nepali CineSasar. Unfortunately, Kasam Hajur Ko is nothing but a cold meat in terms of story, presentation and cinematography. Directed by Ram Raja Dahal, produced by Krishna Chaulagai, Kasam Hajur Ko stars ; Rekha Thapa, Jivan Luitel, Richa Ghimire and Raj Ballav in pivotal roles along with veterans like Mithila Sharma and Rabi Giri.

The over-hyped Red One Digital 2K camera seems to have failed to compete even with 17 MM. May be it the technology itself or the lack of skill to operate such camera, you will encounter too many bizarre camera shots in the movie – Kasam Hajur Ko.

Lets get to the basics first. The Story. Storyline seems to nothing but mish-mash of Bollywood movies Kal Ho Na Ho & Shaadi Se Pehle. Story about three college students; Amar, Jivan & Shristi. Amar loves Shristi, so does Jivan and Shristi loves Jivan too. Well, problem solved. Not yet, there is also Kamal (Villian) who wants to have Shristi at any cost. Add another melodrama, Jivan finds out he is dying soon due to some disease declared suddenly by his doctor.
Well, what would Jivan do ?
Or what would you do if you were Jivan ?

The main protagonist Jivan stupidly falls in love with another spoilt Richie girl – Kanchan. Shristi, after heart broken gets close to Amar. Jivan suspects Amar’s Betrayal.
At the end, when Jivan tells he can’t marry either Kanchan or Shristi, Kanchan suicides. The LMAO moment was when its revealed doctor had given Jivan the wrong report. It was actually Amar’s report.
During Amar’s last moment, he gives a long speech and finally Jivan & Shristi lives happily ever after.

With wafer-thin storyline, loop holed screenplay and pathetic cinematography, movie like Kasam Hajur Ko is a torture to watch. It can easily be compared to Bollywood’s ‘RGV ki Aag’. The movie has nothing new to say or tell in terms of story, music or direction. The movie seemed to be shot in a shoe-string budget, as most of the scenes are shot near fewataal and near surroundings.

Performance wise, no one shines. Be it Rekha Thapa or Richa Ghimire all are led back. Same goes for the actors Jivan Luitel and Raj Ballav. Once again it proves, having Good Movie poster or promos can never pull the crowd if your content is crappy.
