2010-04-08-71manisha12Finally it has been decided, Popular Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala is going to marry Samrat Dahal, a Nepali businessman from Shindhuli District on June 19.

Before being the wedding date fixed, Manisha had given a green signal for marriage with a Nepali. ” in near future. “I’ll be entangled in a sacred knot of marriage in Nepal very soon as I don’t wanna leave my home-country,” said Manisha while speaking at a face-to-face program organized in the capital some weeks back.

Meanwhile, Manisha made public that she was interested to act in Nepali films with a good script for her. “I’m highly influenced by the way Nepalese directors, camera persons and artists work,” praised Manisha who is currently busy in the filming of ‘Dharma’. She further stated the team of ‘Dharma’ is rightly selected and experienced. “I’m ready to act in any social, commercial and artistic films,” added Manisha. She has already played a heroin in three films and signed for two new projects. In the interaction, she said her Mumbai-based production house is off for the last two years.

Saying that she is in no mood to try her luck at Nepalese politics immediately, Manisha said, “If time favors, I may come into politics; my priority will be on working outside the political world as we can do good for the society even without engangement in politics.” Wishing for timely promulgation of new statute in the nation, she, however, expressed her dissatisfaction over the declaration of secularism in Nepal.

In another context, Manisha regretted saying late Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala had gone off the roadmap of late B.P. Koirala. “GP Koirala is comparably not as great and dedicated leader as B.P. Koirala for the nation and its people,” Manisha opened her heart frankly.

Remembering her bygone days with her grandfather B.P. Koirala, Manisha says she didn’t spend much time with him but it was a great fun to be with him. “I had once gone to invite my grandpa for my brother’s wedding ceremony but he failed to be present due to health reasons,” recalled she.

“Nepali Congress is still a favourite party among the Nepalis and should go ahead in cooperation with other parties,” maintained Manisha while urging NC leadership to be dedicated for the welfare of the nation and the Nepalese people.
