Directed by Shambu Pradhan 16 Barse Jowan is a super hit social movie of mid 90s. Starring Shiva Shrestha, Niruta Singh, Jala Shah, Ramesh Upreti, Dilip Rayamajhi, Ishowri Pradhan and Arjun Shrestha in major roles the movie got thunderous response both by critics and in box office. The movie is also remembered for its melodious songs with Item number by Saranga Shrestha, probably one of the most successful item dancer in the late 90s.
