Movie: Balidaan

Balidaan is one of the finest Nepali Movie starring Haribansa Acharya in a leading role. Though MAHA jodi is part of the movie, but they are doing serious role instead of comedy this time. Supported by Anjana Shrestha (subba) Neer Shah, etc in pivotal role, Balidaan is based upon 2046 BS revolution for democracy. The various protests, the autocracy of Panchayat System, how hundreds of Nepali’s were killed during the movement is nicely depicted.
Balidaan is also Cinema Nepal’s first movie, scripted by Modnath ‘Prashrith’, Balidaan celebrated 51 days in major cinema halls around the nation.
