Kathmandu in USA

Its not just Hollywood or Bollywood movies, but even Nepali Movies are getting an exclusive premieres in USA with support of Nepali Diaspora. It was not long before when Bhuvan K.C. went in USA for long spree of premiere for his movie Ma Timi Bina Mari Halchu… . This time it was movie Kathmandu, produced and directed by Akash Adhikary which was premiered at Scottish Center, Oakland, California.

Disco, Drinks, Drugs & Sex the major factors which is spoiling this generation was major theme of the movie Kathmandu, which was highly appreciated by NRNs, NRIs and some Americans alike. Kathmandu is a contemporary movie focusing on global problem of youth; their influence and addictions, generation gap, etc. The script writer and the director have successfully depicted the modern generation psychology. How a person gets himself indulged into disco, drink, drugs and sex culture.

Kathmandu is also the first movie to be shot with high end Red Cine 4K camera. The movie was shot in different places of Nepal and some part in USA. This is also the first Nepali movie, which sold their ticket online. Producer & director Akash so so happy with the response that he planning for extended premiere show in various places of USA (NY, Chicago, Baltimore, etc) and has already booked shows in Germany, Canada, Belgium and UK. He is also planning to screen the movie in middle east in after completion of US-Europe tour.
The movie will is scheduled to screen in Nepal only in May 2010.

The movie stars Akash himself in lead character along with Resh Martha, Riya Murphi, Gauri Malla, Arjun Shrestha, etc.
