Hello Shovit Ji, welcome to our interview section.
Thank you Raaj ji.

We would like to congrats you for the releasing of your 3 movies continuously inside Kathmandu valley.

Thanks again to you and to all my fans and viewers of my movie.

Your 3 movies DHOOM,JUNGABAAZ and now DANBIR continously were released inside Kathmandu valley and now all 3 are running together also. What is your response?

In fact, I am very glad and may be its for the first time in Nepali film history also that 3 movies by a director running together inside Kathmandu valley. Today I feel that I am a good director because my movies are released inside Kathmandu valley just because audience wants to watch Shovit Basnet’s movie which proves that I am good director.

What kind of movie is DANBIR and what is difference than other movie?

As my recently released movie DHOOM which was a total comedy movie. Than came JUNGABAAZ which was a total action movie. And now DANBIR is mixed of both. That means DANBIR is a total entertaining movie mixed with action and comedy.

Your own movies are fighting with each other in multiplex. Is there any effect on you due to this or any effect on your any movies?

Yes. I felt very glad to see my own 3 movies in a multiplex and my movies are fighting with own my movies. But it has not effected any of my movies because all the movies had collected their budget and made profit also.

How is the response of audience?

I had got very very good response from my viewers. During releasing of DHOOM, Biraj Bhatta’s movie were not doing good business but viewers went to see my movie. When Rajesh Hamal was not getting lead role at that time JUNGABAAZ got excellent response which proved that audience want Rajesh Hamal’s movie. And at DANBIR there is Ramit Dhungana and people had liked him also.

You had taken new and those actors whose movie are not getting good response? Is it that they charge less amount?

HAHA…. yes they charge less amount also but not only that reason. Those actors were super hit at one time but now their movies are not doing well business just because using them only does not makes a movie hit. There should be the entertaining elements inside the movie that suits those actors. Than only audience will like those actors’ movie
which my movie are an example.

On what are you busy these days?

I am busy on the shooting of movie RAAZ and few movies are in dubbing stage.
